Reika was purchased in 1998 and quickly became a favorite of nearly everone who met her! The original intent was to sell her as a riding horse, but it was soon decided to see how she would produce. In 1999 she produced the chestnut gelding Cajun Joe by Portland (Anglo-Trakehner by Skiing, out of Phahne by Mikado). Cajun Joe has three nice gaits and a special talent for jumping. In 2003, Reika had a chestnut filly, Rhapsodiva by Feuertaenzer for DeAnne Dowland. She had another chestnut colt in 2004, Rincon by the Oldenburg stallion Rainbow, this time for Kristy Doty. Due to septicemia and complications Rincon was lost at an early age but will be missed by the many of us who helped to take care of him.

In 2005, Reika broke her chestnut streak and foaled a lovely dark bay filly by the Enrico Caruso son Incantare. Rowan is an elegant filly with good gaits and a great temperament. Reika's next two foals were both by the Elite German Trakehner stallion Lehndorff's. Reflexion was born in 2007 and Regan was born in 2008.

Reika is a riding horse in her spare time and easy to work with, both on and off the ground.
